About the Bridgestone TURANZA EL 42 RFT

The Bridgestone Turanza EL 42 RFT is a standard touring runflat tire created as the runflat version of an original equipment tire for luxury sedans, sporty coupes, family minivans and crossover utility vehicles as well. They are all season runflat tires that combine the looks and handling of a performance tire with the ride comfort and low noise of a passenger tire. Being an all season tire they provide traction in all season and in wet, dry and wintry conditions including in light snow. The tire is made from an all season tread compound that has been molded into a symmetric design. This design features siped rectangular tread blocks with snow biting edges that also provide dry road stability as well as traction in wintry weather. The tire also features circumferential and lateral grooves that evacuate water throughout the tires footprint, thereby reducing hydroplaning and enhancing the wet traction of the vehicle. Being a runflat tire, the Turanza EL 42 RFT has the capability to drive for 50 miles at 50 MPH, after a puncture, allowing you to drive to an auto repair provider. Internally the tire features two steel belts that have been reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon that helps to stabilize the tread area enhancing tread wear, durability and handling. A polyester cord body helps to create a smooth and comfortable ride.
