Changing Engine Oil is More Important Than Ever

Older engines have fewer parts inside that needed lubrication by engine oil.
Modern engines have many more parts. Plastic parts that require lubrication and very small oil passages that become plugged if the engine oil is not changed at required intervals.
Modern engines are smaller but produce more power, so they work harder and need better lubrication.

Oil types
- Standard motor oil meets minimum specifications for most engines.
- Synthetic blend oil is a mixture of standard oil and synthetic oil. It meets and exceeds specifications for most engines. It reduces wear on your engine especially under severe conditions like high or low ambient temperatures.
- Full synthetic oil is required for some engines like hybrids and high performance engines. Synthetic oil does not get thick in cold temperatures providing quicker starts, and does not get thin at high temperatures, causing less engine wear and keeps oil pressures higher. This has many benefits.
